To the Right Wor[shipfu]ll the Justices of the Peace of the County of Caern[ar]von
The Petic[i]on of Jo[h]n Thomas of Llanstyndwy in the County of Caern[ar]von
Humbly complayneing sheweth vnto yo[u]r wor[shi]ps that whereas yo[u]r petic[i]oner haveing served his Ma[jes]ties late father of Blessed memory in S[i]r Jo[h]n Owens regim[en]t vnder in Capt[ain] William Brynkirs Company dureing the most p[ar]te of the late vnhappy warrs & hath rec[eive]d seu[er]all wounds dureing the s[ai]d service soe yt he is lambe Indigent and Maymed of all w[hi]ch yo[u]r petic[i]oner is readie to take his oath And haveing not wherew[i]thall to mantayne himselfe vnlesse yo[u]r wor[shi]ps be pleased to admitt him as a penc[i]oner accordinge to a late Act of Parliam[en]t made in the Foureteeneth yeare of his Ma[jes]ties raigne that now is Entitled an Act for the releiffe of Poore indigent & maymed soldiers that served his Ma[jes]tie & his late father of blessed Memory in the late vnhappy warrs yo[u]r petic[i]oner is like to p[er]ish for want. Therefore may it Please yo[u]r wor[shi]ps to take his to Comiserate his sadd Condic[i]on & take it into yo[u]r serious Consideracon And yo[u]r Petic[i]oner shall ever pray
