The petition of John Rylands, Thomas Rylands and Jonathan Rylands, all of Warrington, Lancashire, Michaelmas 1647

To the Right Wor[shi]ppfull his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace at the quarter Sessions houlden at Wigan
The humble petic[i]on of John[,] Thomas, and Jonathan Rylands, Children of Randle Rylands of Warrington de[cea]s[e]d
humbly Sheweth,
That yo[u]r petic[i]oners are in greate distresse hauinge Neither father nor Mother, nor any means of Subsistance to preserue life, but onely the Beneuolence of well affected Neighbours, The eldest of your petic[i]oners beinge not aboue the Age of seuen yeares, their father dyinge in ye seruice of the parliam[en]t; vnder the Command of Colonell Booth; And that your petitioners are like to starue for want of reliefe, without some effectuall course bee taken for them By your Wor[shi]pps
May it therefore please your good Wor[shi]pps to take the pr[e]misses into your wise considerac[i]on, and grant an Order that A ley may bee Laid vpon the p[ar]ish of Warrington, for the reliefe of you[r] Petic[i]oners, being borne within the same parish and now are residante as may Appeare by a sertificate here vnto Annexed, and yo[u]r petic[i]oners as in Bound duty shall eu[er] pray &c
