To the wor[shipfu]ll John Beare Esq[uire] Judge of the Sessions And others of his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the Peace att the Castle of Exon in Full Sessions Assembled
The Humble Peti[ci]on of John Rendle of Christow in the said County weauer
Humbly Shewth
That yo[u]r Peticon[e]r serued his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles the First of Blessed Memory in the late vnhappy Warrs vnd[e]r the Seuerall Com[m]ands of Captaine Hugh Stawell, and Captaine Peter Bound and was therein much wounded, and Bruised, And for as much as yo[u]r Peticon[e]r is now growne neare seauenty yeares Old and very Infirme, and not Able, to worke, or Mainetaine himselfe, and Family as he ought, by meanes of such his wounds bruises, and other disabilityes aforesaid
Yo[u]r Peticon[e]r therefore prayes yo[u]r wor[shi]ps to afford him Such releefe out off the County Stocke by appointeing him a Pension as to yo[u]r Wor[shi]ps shall seeme meete.
And yo[u]r Peticon[e]r shall euer Pray &c.

I doe beleeue the Contents of this petition to be true, & doe know the pet[itione]r to be aged & infirm, & hath of late by his infirmity, been much disabled for his calling
