The Humble petic[i]on of John Orrell of Prescott
Shewing
that yo[u]r pet[itione]r being a poore maimed & indig[en]t Sould[ie]r who faithfully serued his ma[jes]ty that now is and his Royall Fath[e]r in the late warrs hath onely had Fiue shillings penc[i]on onely allow’d him for diuers years last past
Now soe it is that yo[u]r pet[itione]r is growne old & vnable to mainteine himselfe & family & is at great[e]r want then formerly & diu[er]s p[er]sons are lately dead who had penc[i]ons formerly Especially two in the towne of Prescott vizt Ann Standesh wid[ow] who had Twenty shillings yearely and Richard Coop[er] who had The Ten shillings yearely penc[i]on
May it therfore please yo[u]r wor[shi]ps the pr[e]misses Considere’d to ord[e]r to yo[u]r pet[itione]r an adic[i]onall penc[i]on yearely to the s[ai]d Fiue shillings being soe farr short to releeue him & he as in duty bound will dayly pray for yo[u]r good wor[shi]ps
