The humble petition of John Hurdesfeild of Brodwell laborer
<Sheweth> That wheras yo[u]r petitioner being a faithfull loyall & obedient subject to the kings most excellent majesty & serued under the command of the right hon[oura]ble George Booth Lord of De=la=meare in his s[ai]d Ma[jes]ties servise vnder the command of Capt[ain] Rob[er]t Venable and exposed to great losses by reason of the servise afores[ai]d & his horse being killed under him and himselfe exposed to his life much dangered.
May itt please yo[u]r hon[ou]rs the pr[e]misses considered to grant yo[u]r order to yo[u]r poor petitioner yt he may become a pensioner for his reward soe as in yo[u]r wisdoms you shall thinke fitt
And yo[u]r petitioner will ever pray &c
