The humble petic[i]on of John Heawood

<Sheweth>

That yo[u]r petic[i]oner being a Trooper in his late maiestyes seruice from the battell of Edgehill, till the fight at Stow the ould vnder the Com[m]and of Captayne Power in Collonell Grady, his Bragade, and hath euer since haueing a wife and Children and little or nothinge to subsist vpon but his hand Labour bin put to very much Hardshippe for many yeares since

The pr[e]misses Considered May it please yo[u]r Worshippes that yo[u]r petic[i]oner may haue some part of his Arreares as shall seeme best in yo[u]r Wor[shi]ppes wisdomes and yo[u]r petic[i]oner shall be euer bound to pray.

<These are to Certify that yo[u]r wor[shi]pps petic[i]oners officers beinge slayne in his Maiesyes seruice hee faythfully serued in the seruice to the last>
