The petition of John Hazill, 8 November 1648

To the Honerable the Committee for the Armie.

The Humble petitioner [sic.] of John Hazill A wounded siouldyer in the Sauoy Hospittall

Sheweth

Your poore petitioner served as a Footte siouldyer in Col[one]l Hewsons Regimentt & in his owne Companie euer sence the first reducmentt of the Armie in w[hi]ch service hee hath receiued diuerse wounds Formerly at Abington wher hee lost halfe his rightt hand, & senc at Maydstone in Kent wher hee was shott through the right left Arme & hand wherby hee is now disabled for gitting a liuing

His Humble suitt to this Honerable Committee is to take his great sufferings into your pious considerrations & seeing ther is arreare due to him for his soe long & faithfull service wherby he is soe much disabled, may itt please your Honers to grant him, an obiect of pitty, an order for the muster roulles to be searched, that he may receiue what is due to him, by warrant from your Honers

& as bound he shall pray.

Nouember 8 1648

This Souldier John Hazell is disabled w[i]th bouth his handes by the woundes he receued in the seruis of the parlament wherby he is a maymed man.
