The humble peitc[i]on of John Griffith ap Hugh.

Sheweth

That yo[u]r pet[itione]r was pressed a souldior for the kings service to serve for this County his Ma[jes]ty Charles the first of blessed memored [sic.] served vnder the Comaund of S[i]r John Owen in his company where he continued his service for 4or yeeres & receiued seu[er]all wounds & att Nasby fight was taken pr[i]son[er] & carried to London where he remayned a pr[i]soner for 24ty weekes & thereby is disabled to doe any worke to get his livinge

Wherefore the pr[e]misses considered May it please yo[u]r wor[shi]ps to admitt yo[u]r pet[itione]r to be a penc[i]on[er] out of the maymed souldiers mize within this Com[itatus] towards his releef & yo[u]r pet[itione]r will eu[er] pray for yo[u]r wor[shi]ps longe life &c
