The Humble Petic[i]on of John Gladden of Middlew[i]ch in the County of Chester Labourer
<Humbly Sheweth>
That whereas yo[u]r Pet[itione]r hath in his late Ma[jes]ties Warrs serv[e]d vnd[e]r the Com[m]aund of S[i]r Edward Fitton the office of a drummer And that dureinge his said service hee rec[eive]d seu[er]all wowndes soe that hee is now vtterly vncapable by reason of his said harme rec[eive]d as afores[ai]d to mainteyne himselfe in any wise
The premisses consider[e]d Maye itt please yo[u]r wo[rshi]pps to graunt that yo[u]r Pet[itione]r maye bee admitted a Penc[i]oner [illegible] (there beinge att this [illegible] p[re]sent a vacancy), And yo[u]r Pet[itione]r as in duty bound will ever pray &c
