The humble Peticion of John Fisher of Molland in the said Countie of Devon.

<Sheweth>

that your pore Petion[e]r in the beginnying of the late vnhappie & vnnaturall warres in this kingdom became a Souldier in the Regem[e]nt of Colonell Apslie & vnder the com[m]and of Capting Arthur Ascott who weare & did fight for, & in the behalfe of o[u]r sou[er]aigne Lord Chares late king over vs of famous memorie and yo[u]r Peticioner in that service did continue vntill he was so hurted & wounded yt he loste the vse of one of his ledges and thereby is now become maymed & brought into povertie The truth whereof will appeere vppon the sight of your pore Peticion[e]r and by a certificate hereunto annexed subscribed by divers severall persons.

The pr[e]misses considered may it please your wor[shi]pps to graunte an order that yo[u]r Peticion[e]r may have some reliefe & maynten[an]ce and he as ever bound will daylie pray for yo[u]r happinesse
