The humble petition of Jo[h]n Ellis of Carn[ar]von

Sheweth

That yo[u]r petitioner in February in the yeare of our Lord god 1644 amonge diuerse others of this Countie was pressed for a souldier at Carn[ar]von to serue in his late ma[jes]t[y]s warre & to march towards Wrexham & beinge thither he further was appointed to aduance into his ma[jes]t[y]s seruice to Leycester & there was wounded through his knee: to his much losse of bodilie health:

Now yo[u]r petitioners humble Request vnto yo[u]r wor[shi]ps is that your wor[shi]ps will be pleased to Commiserate his Case & to allowe him yearelie out of the maimed souldiers mize what your wor[shi]ps shall thinke Fitt:

And yo[u]r petitioner shall euer pray &c:
