The petition of John Didrich, Warwickshire; William Whitehead, Warwickshire; and William Eberall, Warwickshire, 11 September 1646

To the Honnorable the Com[m]ittee for the saftie of the Countie of Warwicke & Cittie of Coventry
The humble peticione of John Didrich & William Whitehead & William Eberall souldiers vnder Com[m]and of Captaine Richard Walford under command of Corronall Bridges most humbly sheweth
That vnder the foresaid Comand wee haue trulie laboured to o[u]r vtter most Indeavour to performe o[u]r best servise for kinge & parlament & weare faythfull from the tyme wee listed o[u]r selves tell it pleased the state to disband vs but it pleased god in this servise that John Didrich hath laien long sick vissitted with a verie sore legg as yet not healed nether the surgant paid for in Regard his sore was dangerous hee was Constrained to seek other meanes then the sugeone was appointed for o[u]r owne Companie: as allso William Whitehead hath lost 2 fingers & William Eberall vtterlie lost the vse of his Right hand nowe the humble petticione of the parties Above of o[u]r Condicione as in truth it is & dooe for vs what the lord shall move you & wee shall bee trulie thanckfull & will ever pray for y[ou]r ever happines &c.
