The humble petition of John Colkin of Odde Rode
Humbly Sheweth
That yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner hath bin Maney & Seau[er]all tymes Imployed in his Ma[jes]ties Late Service in the Late Warres which haue bin in this kingdom to his greate Loss and Damage And besides hath bin lately vissitted with a longe fitt of Sickness Whereby hee is now driven into greate weakeness and poverty
Wherefore yo[u]r poore peti[ti]oner humbly beseeketh This hon[our]able Bench to take his pr[e]sent Condic[i]on in to yo[u]r Serious consideration in affordinge him some yearely Stipend for his Reliefe and Mentenance And your poore petitioner as in dutie bound Shall ever pray for yo[u]r hon[ou]rs
