To the Right Wor[shipfu]ll his Ma[jesty]s Justices of the Peace at the quarter Sessions of ye Peace held at Wich Malbanck for the Com[itatus] aforesaid the [blank] day of [blank]
The humble Petic[i]on of John Bruck of Congleton in the said County of Chest[e]r Laborer
<Humbly sheweth>
That yo[u]r Peticioner having ever been A true and Loyall subiect to his Ma[jes]tie his late Fath[e]r of ever blessed memory & a sold[ie]r vnd[e]r Capt[ain] Francis Biddolph and very fathfull to his trust having been often sent & imployed on Messages by seu[e]rall p[er]sons of Quallitye and Com[m]and vnd[e]r his said late Ma[jes]ty in the late warrs. And being now growne Aged and falen into poverty and want, and noe way able to subsist but through the Charity of some Gentlemen [illegible] his good freinds well knowne acquainted w[i]th the pr[e]misses
Yo[u]r Pet[itioner] therefore humbly prayeth yo[u]r Worshipps will in Charity be pleased to Admit him A Pentic[i]oner in the Hundred of Northwich in the place of John Shaw of Congleton lately dead And yo[u]r poore Peticioner shall ever pray &c
