To ye right Wor[shi]p[fu]ll ye Judge of ye Generall Sessions & ye rest of their Ma[jes]ties Justices at ye same Sessions of ye peace Assembled
The Humble Petition of John Brownston of the p[ar]ish and county aforesaid Sheweth
That your poor Petitioner in the tyme of Kinge Charles the first of ever blessed memory beinge a Souldier in the Regim[en]t of the Hon[oura]ble S[i]r John Barkley in that troope whereof Henry Barkley his brother was Capt[ain] Dureing the rebellion against him & at the Towne of Barnstable did receive divers wounds which now doe very much greive & disable him to get his livelihood therfore Humbly prayes this Hon[oura]ble Bench to order him some Pention for his more comfortable subsistance Dureinge the short remaineder of his life
And your Petitioner shall ever pray &c.
