The petition of John Broderton of Borwick, Lancashire, Midsummer 1673

To the Right worrishipp[fu]ll [sic.] his Ma[jes]ties Justices of peace and Quor[um] att the Gen[er]all Sessions of peace holden at Lanc[aste]r for the said County
The humble petic[i]on of John Broderton of Berwicke
Humbly sheweth
That yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r hath beene a very faithfull subiect in the late Kings services of ever blessed memory and his Ma[jes]ties that now is wherein he suffered great loss and never revolted from the said services and yet hath had noe pention in the releife of maymed souldiers since the restoration of his blessed Ma[jes]tie being come poore humble beggs yo[u]r [illegible] worshipps pleasure what you pleass to allow vnto yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r hee haueing not att all as yet receiued one penny vpon that Accompt
May it therefor please yo[u]r good worshipps to Consider the sadd Condic[i]on of yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r whereby hee may bee releived & he duety bound will ever pray &c
