The humble petic[i]on of Jeremy Bury, James Wantworth, Anne Kershaw and Elizabeth Healey widdowes & Relicts of Adam Kershaw & Thomas Healey all of Rochdall & Richard Howorth of Midleton
Sheweth
That whereas yo[u]r said poore pet[itio]n[er]s Att a gen[e]rall Sessions of ye peace holden at Manchester for the said Hundred ye xxiith day of July 1669 were Admitted & ordered to receiue from ye Treasurers for maymed soldiers ye yearly penc[i]on of Tenne shillinges yo[u]r pet[itio]n[er]s & their deceased husbands of ye said wideows haueinge served both his Ma[jes]tie that now is & his royall deceased father in their late warres which said yearly penc[i]ons sev[e]rally they haue hitherto receiued & yo[u]r pet[itio]n[e]rs goeinge to ye last gen[e]rall sessions in hopes to receiue such proporc[i]onable p[ar]te of ye reverc[i]on of money in the said treasurers handes remaninge yet neither of yo[u]r good wor[shi]pps beeinge there at that time yo[u]r pet[itio]n[e]rs were put of without any thinge although ye Justices then vpon ye Bench did allow to the rest of such penc[i]oners about Bury, Bolton, Blackroad &c to each one Five shillinges a peece.
Yo[u]r pet[itio]n[er]s therefore humbly pray yo[u]r good wor[shi]pps to Consider of ye pr[e]misses & to grant them yo[u]r order directed to ye said treasurers requireing them to allow yo[u]r said pet[itio]n[er]s the like residue & reverc[i]on of such money remaininge in their handes as others the said penc[i]oners haue already rec[eive]d And yo[u]r pet[itio]n[e]rs as in duty bound will dayly pray for yo[u]r good wor[shi]pps health &c
