The petition of Jeremie Burie and James Whitworth of Rochdale, Lancashire, Epiphany 1673

To his ma[jes]ties: Justices at the gen[er]all Quart[e]r Sessions held att Manchest[e]r for the Hundred of Salford.

The Humble petic[i]on of Jeremie Burie, James Whitworth and othe[r] the indigent and maimed Souldiers with in the parish of Rochdale

That yo[u]r petic[i]oners in the yeaire [sic.] of o[u]r Lord 1659 haveing receiued theire severall ord[e]rs from this Cour[t]e for theire receiueing yearly and every yeare the sume of ten shillings a peice for theire dutie and service towards the [illegible] late kings most excellent ma[jes]tie and his ma[jes]tie that now is And that theire being now a great deale of money in the Treasurers hands over and aboue what hee is to despose of And the said Treasurer beeing willing to dispose of the same to and amongst yo[u]r petic[i]oners and others in the like condic[i]on: if that yo[u]r Worshipps please to ord[e]r him soe to doe

Therefore yo[u]r petic[i]oners pray yo[u]r Worshipps ord[e]r for the disposall of the said money and that they may have thire equall share of the same and yo[u]r petic[i]oners will ever pray &c.
