The petition of Jenkin Griffith of St George, Denbighshire, 12 July 1681

To ye Right wor[shi]p[fu]l his Ma[jes]tys Justices of ye Peace for ye Countie of Denbigh
The humble Petic[i]on of Jenkin Griffith
Humbly shewing to yo[u]r wor[shi]ps yt yo[u]r pett[itione]r hath formerly bene admitted a pension[e]r & has Rec[eive]d his penc[i]on according [to the] act of Parliam[en]t vntill of Late being now one yeare & halfe it has bene deteyned From him therefore humbly begs yt he may haue his arrears paid & continued, The testimony of his Loyalty seruice & wounds has beene heartofore beene [sic.] sufficiently certified and therefore prayes yo[u]r wor[shi]ps to take him into considerac[i]on
And yo[u]r pett[itione]r shal be eu[er] bound to pray &c
Yo[u]r pett[itione]r has serued vnder ye Right Hon[oura]ble ye Lord John Byron & S[i]r Nicholas Armore

Ordered that the petition[er] shall succeed the next vacant by the death of one of the maymed sold[ie]rs in his neighbourhood vpon his informac[i]on to this Cort & shall receave the deced[en]ts penc[i]on till further order.
