The humble Petic[i]on of Jenet Hodgson of Wenington widowe.

That whereas yo[u]r pore peticoners husband beinge pressed for a Souldier hath lefte his wife and fowre smalle Children and nothinge for to mentayne them with all Since his goeinge away yo[u]r pore peticoner hath had some releife by waye of order out of this wor[shi]pp[ful] Courte, which order the overseers John Crafote with houlds so that yo[u]r pore peticoner and her fowre Children is at greate wante for releife.
May it theirfore please yo[u]r wor[shi]pps for to take the premisses in to your graue Consideracons and to graunte vnto yo[u]r pore peticoner such releife as you in yo[u]r conseive to be neidfull for her & her Children and to grante yo[u]r wor[shi]ps order forth of this wor[shi]pp[ful] courte for the same and yo[u]r pore petic[i]oner will as in duty bounde euer pray.
