The petition of Jane Castlon, Warwickshire, 15 March 1645

To the right wor[shipfu]ll the Comittee of Accompts for Receiuinge the Accounts of the Countie of Warr[wick], and Cittie and Countie of Couentry.

The Accompts of Maior Raph Castlon (who Dyed in the Service of the Kinge and Parliament march the 15th 1644:

Humbly pr[e]sented by Jane Castlon the said Maiors widow:

By Comission vnder the hand and Seale of the Right Ho[noura]ble Robert late Lo[rd] Brooke Generall of the Associated Counties of Stafford and Warr[wick] dated the 27th of January 1642 The said Maior was then receiued as Captaine of a Companie of Dragoones And soe Continued vnto the first of October followinge beinge eight monethes, And from that tyme he receiued his Comission vnder Collonel Mitton for Capt[ain] Leiuten[a]nt of horse,

Due vnto the said Maior and Capt[ain] of a Company of Dragoones at 15 s. p[er] diem: and for 5 horses 5s.: from the s{ai}d 27th January vnto the said first of October beinge 8 monethes consistinge of 224 daies 224 li. – 0 s. – 0 d.

Whereof to be respited half paie 112 – 0 – 0

Humbly craueth allowance for the other half paye And that yow will vouchsafe to certefie the same or soe much thereof vnto the ho[noura]ble Comittee for safety as shall appeare due accordinge to Ordinance of Parliament

And she shall euer pray &c.
