The petition of Jaine Clifford of Warrington, Lancashire, Epiphany 1679

The humble petic[i]on of Jaine Clifford of Warrington in the County of Lanc[aste]r widdow.

Sheweth

That you[r] peicion[e]rs poore husband A Faithfull souldior vnder his late deceased vnder ye Comand of S[i]r John Watts receiued severall wounds, was admitted A pensio[ne]r to receiue xx s. p[er] Annu[m] laie long sick & there remaines due to him Ten shillings, in Arrear.

Wherefore yo[u]r Peticion[e]r praies yo[u]r wo[rshi]ps Order to receiue that ten shillings, and Other ten shillings for ye tyme of his sicknes and buriall; Cost soe much in Fyre & Candle light or what more yo[u]r wo[rshi]pps shall Judge meet. And yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r & her Fiue Children 3 of ym beeing very young shall Ever praie

referred to the Ou[er]seers of the poore.
