The petition of Israell Tucker of Morchard Bishop, Devon, undated

To ye right Wor[shi]pp[fu]ll ye Judge of the Sessions & the rest of their Ma[jes]ties Justices at the Generall Sessions of the peace Assembled:
The Humble Petition of Israell Tucker of the p[ar]ish of Morchard B[isho]pp in the said County Sheweth,
That your poor petitioner in the time of kinge Charles the first of ever blessed memory being a Souldier in the regim[en]t of the Hon[oura]ble S[i]r Ames Pollard in that troop whereof one Mr Thomas Plant was Capt[ain] in the s[ai]d kings Service which he never deserted Dureinge the rebellion against him & at the towne of [?hanginasto] & alsoe at the towne of La[m]part did receive divers wounds which now does very much grieve & disable him to get his Livelihood, Therefore Humbly prayes this Hon[oura]ble Bench To order him some Pention for his more comfortable Subsistance dureing the short remaineder of his life
And yo[u]r Pettitioner shall ever pray &c.
