The humble petic[i]on of Isaack Bellamy

Shewing in all humillity that yo[u]r Royall Father of blessed Memory was gratiously pleased to looke vpon the long and Faithfull Service of yo[u]r poore peticon[e]r in the late warre wherein hee served his Maiesty from Branford Fight untill Colchester fight and rec[eive]d many wounds in his body in that Service in Considerac[i]on whereof his Royall Maiesty beeing then in the Isle of Wight was gratiously pleased to Conferre vpon yo[u]r petic[i]oner the Office of one of the groomes of the Slaughter house but it never passed the greate Seale by reason of yo[u]r petitioners poverty and the greate disorders of the times.

Yo[u]r petic[i]oner most humbly beseeches yo[u]r Maiestye to grant to yo[u]r pet[itione]r for his life the Office of one of the Groomes of yo[u]r Maiestyes Slaughter house with the Wages Fees and Allowances thereunto belonging and therewith alwayes vsed and enioyed and hee shall pray for ever for yo[u]r Maiestye.
