The petition of Humphrey Thomas of Llanenigan, Carnarvonshire, 1660

To ye wor[shipfu]ll Justices of ye peace for this County of Carnarvon

The humble petic[i]on of Humphrey Thomas of Llanenigan in ye s[ai]d County.

<Humbly sheweth>

That whereas your peti[tio]ner being of late yeares admitted as penc[i]oner, and receaueing his penc[i]on duely eu[er]y yeare, but for ye yeare endeing May last he is by ye Treasurer debarred of Forty shillings ye s[ai]d Treasurer aledgeing yt he payd them ouer to ye a Justice of ye peace (who required an account of him, by orders granted in July Quarter Sessions last, as also of what money remayned in his hands)

your peti[tio]ner therefore humbly prayeth that y[ou]r wor[shi]ps would bee pleased to order ye treasurer or ye Justice of ye peace wher ye same doe [two illegible words] remayne to pay ye said forty shilling due to y[ou]r poore peti[tio]ner for ye tyme past, praying likewise that you would hereafter allow him some smale porc[i]on for his maintenance, as to y[ou]r worshipps wisdomes shall thinke fit

And y[ou]r peti[tio]ner shall euer pray.
