The petition of Hugh Myddelton, Denbighshire, 16 April 1667

To the Right Wor[shi]p[fu]ll his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace for the countie of Denbigh
The humble petic[i]on of Hugh Myddelton
Sheweth
That whereas it was ordered at the quarter Sessions holden at Denbigh in Aprill last past 1666 that yo[u]r petic[i]oner should receiue a penc[i]on, of w[hi]ch hee hath not as yet rec[eive]d one pennie & being Informed that some haue rec[eive]d moneys who haue beene listed since th’afores[ai]d time, humblie presents the p[re]mises to yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps serious considerac[i]on withall trulie affirming that yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] is a verie fit obiect of Compassion, being greatlie Impoverished by continuing alwayes loyall to his late & present Ma[jes]tie having severall Judgm[en]ts out against him & a wife with small children besides himselfe to maintaine
May it therefore please yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps soe to order that yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r may not bee putt of longer & debarr’d from what sume (was condiscended vnto formerlie) hee should haue, but that he (as well as others) may at this present Sessions receiue the same towards the supporte & speedie releife of his (& his relac[i]ons) pressing necessities
And yo[u]r petic[i]on[er] shall ever pray &c.
