To the Right Wor[shi]p[fu]ll the Justices of the peace now sittinge at the quarter sessions at Carn[ar]von
The humble petition of Hugh ap Owen of Aberdaron in the County of Carn[ar]von
Humbly sheweth
That your petitioner hath beene a souldier in his late ma[jes]t[y]s service kinge Charles the First in oxfford vnder the Com[m]aund of Colonell Edward Gerrard & at oxfford afforesaid was shott in the Left shoulder & strucke with other Armes in on his breast & was stripped of all the Clothes that he had about him saue onelie his shirt w[hi]ch was left vnto him: Soe that your petitioner is not able to worke by reason of the said woundes he hath had:
Now yo[u]r petitioners humble Request vnto yo[u]r wor[shi]ps is that yo[u]r wor[shi]ps will be pleased to Comiserate his Case & to allowe him & to allowe him yearelie out of the maimed souldiers mise what sum[m]e your wor[shi]ps shall thinke fitt towards his maintenance:
And yo[u]r petitioner shall euer pray &c.
