To the right Wo[rshipfu]ll the Custos Rotuloru[m] and Justices of the Peace at the Gen[er]all Sessions of the Peace at Taunton 1652.

The humble petition of Henry Fowler of the p[ar]ish of Chard in the County of Som[er]s[e]t Sarge Weaver

Sheweth that the Petitioner hath faithfully served the Parliam[en]t for Tenn yeers last past whereof Sixe yeers under Captayne Nathaniell Chase in Col[one]l S[i]r Hardresse Wallers Regim[en]t as by a c[ert]ificate vnder the said Capt[ain’s] hand appeareth

That the pet[itione]r was wounded dangerously in the Thigh at the Reducing of the Ile of Jersey and not yet cured whereby he is disabled for farther service or to worke at his trade but is now in want & misery.

It is therefore humbly desired that yo[u]r wo[rshi]ps would take his case into considerac[i]on to provide for his Cure and future mayntenance out of the treasury of the County And hee shall ever pray &c.
