The petition of Henry Finymore of March, Isle of Ely, 1663

To the right worshipfull his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the Peace now assembled at the Quarter Sessions at Wisbech holden for the Isle of Ely:
The humble Petic[i]on of Henry Finymore of March in the said Isle.
Humbly sheweth
That your poor petic[i]oner hath in the late unhappie warrs served his most gracious Ma[jes]tie Charles the first late King of ever Blessed memorie under the command of Collonel Henry Cromwell and was for his good and faithfull service imprisoned by Collonel Hacker to his verie great sufferinge and utter impoverishment and hath also done his best endevour for the supplying his gracious Ma[jes]tie that now is.
May it please your Wor[shi]ps clemencie be to me extended by grantine unto yo[u]r petic[i]oner the benefitt of the late Act of Parliament concerning the indigent Cavileirs and to confer A penc[i]on upon him, being aged and not able to worke for the releife and succour of himself and familie.
And yo[u]r petic[i]oner shall ever pray &c.
Ordered that he have A penc[i]on of 5 li. p[er] Ann[um] And if the Treasurer allowe will afford to beggine from last Mich[aelmas].
