The petition of Henry Dyson of Areley Kings, Worcestershire, 1682

To ye R[igh]t Wor[shi]p[f]ull ye Justices of the Peace for ye County of Worsces[te]r ye Humble Petition of Henry Dyson of ye Parish of Arely Kings in ye same County sheweth

That whereas yo[u]r Poore Petition[e]r hath beene in service vnder King Charles ye first & King Charles ye 2d & receved many wounds & hurts whereby hee hath beene much disabled for ye worke of his Calling litle thinking to better his Condition by way of Addresse to yo[u]r worships, yet seing yt him selfe and wife have beene visited with sicknesse for aboue a yeares space last past & had perished had thay not beene releeved by ye Charitie of good neighbours (as is well knowne to ye subscribers) & is still in a very low estate Theerfore hee Humbly beseecheth yo[u]r Worships to commiserate him by Allowing him some competent Pension, & hee & his will bee Engaged to pray Euer for you.
