The Humble Petic[i]on of Henry Crooke of Marleborough in the Countrye afores[ai]d

<Sheweth>

That whereas yo[u]r Peti[ti]o[ne]r hath been heretofore a faithfull Subjecte to his late Ma[jes]tie and so is will Continue to his Ma[jes]tie that now is and heretofore borne a Comand as Capt[ain] vnder the Hon[oura]ble the Lord Hopton in the Regiment of Col[one]l Pert By means whereof whereof he Rec[eive]d dangerous wounds to his vtter Ruine and distrac[i]on of himselfe and family

Whefore [sic.] yo[u]r Pet[itione]r Humbly prayeth that this Wor[shipfu]ll Bench wil be pleased to take the pr[e]misses into Considerac[i]on and to afford such a [illegible] Contribuc[i]on to him as to yo[u]r graue Judgm[en]ts shall seeme meet
