The petition of Harry Jones of Abergele, Denbighshire, 17 April 1683

To the woo[rshipfu]ll the Justices of the peace of the Countie of Denbigh.
The humble petic[i]on of Harry Jones of Abergele
Humbly sheweth that your petition[e]r is a very poore man beinge aged & blinde not haueinge wherew[i]thall to reliue himselfe but what his neyghboures & good Charitable peopl people doth giue towards his reliefe this three yeares & vpwards doe humbly desire to bee Admitted to bee one of the pentioners as I haue been heretofore I haueinge Certified vnder my officers hands of beinge a sould[ie]r vnder the Com[m]and of Col[one]l William Price & Capt[ain] John Price for three yeares & vpwards in the service of our late Kinge Charles the First of blessed memorey
Wherefore your petition[e]r doth humbly desire that your woo[rshi]pps in Considerac[i]on of his poverty & seruice hee beinge not able to trauell would bee pleased to Admitt him in for a pention[e]r as formerly hee hath been or that hee may bee reliued as yo[u]r woo[rshi]pps shall thinke fitt and meete and shall eu[er] pray &c.
