The petition of Gruffyth Lloyd, Carnarvonshire, 1660

To the right wor[shi]pfull the Justices of the peace of the Countye of Carnarvon.

The humble peticon of Gruffyth Lloyd one of maymed souldiers allowed in this Countie of Carnaruon.

Most humbly sheweth.

That yo[u]r petitioner is in great distresse his stipend being all last yeare deteyned from him saveing abouts 50 s. which he receaved in Februarye last though many addresses haue byn made to Mr Maurice Gruffyth one of the Treasurers appoynted that yeare he alleadgeing certaine Constables to be backwards in payeing the same vnto him.

In tender consideracon wherof & in regard yo[u]r poore petitioner is forced to haue one night & day to heede him & that the same cannot be had without due quarterly payment of your petitioners stipend May it please yo[u]r Worships to call an account hereof & to order your poore petitioner to haue what is behind of his allowance whereby he may be mainteyned as heretofore.

And your petitioner will euer pray &[c]
