The petition of Gruffyth Lloyd, Carnarvonshire, 1655

The humble petic[i]on of Gruffyth Lloyd one of the maymed Souldiers of the Countie of Carnarvon.
Most humbly sheweth
That there was by yo[u]r w[o]r[shi]ppes an order taken last yeare that there should be 6 li. giuen yo[u]r pet[itione]r towards his liuelyhood whereof yo[u]r pet[itione]r hath receaued but 3 li. as yet nor any p[ar]te of this yeares money though yo[u]r pet[itioner] standeth in great neede of them being to maintaine himselfe and a man to looke to him; and his poore aged mother not able to relieue him longer haveing runne through that little shee had to mainteyne her self
Wherefore the pr[e]miss[e]s considered May it please yo[u]r Wor[shi]ppes to comaund some considerable some of money to be given him this q[uar]ter Sessions and the said 3 li. if there be soe much in arreare for the last yeare, and yo[u]r pet[itione]r will eu[er] pray &c
