The petition of Godfrey Cooleing, City and Liberty of Westminster, April 1674

To the worshipfull the Justices of the Peace assembled at the Generall Quarter Sessions, held at Pomfrett, for the County of Yorke.

The humble Petic[i]on of Godfrey Cooleing.

Sheweth

That his most Sacred Ma[jes]ty with the right hono[ura]ble his privy Councill were gratiously pleased to Order yo[u]r Pet[itione]r a Pention, which Order this Worshipfull Bench were pleased to take notice of at Doncaster Sessions, and appoynted yo[u]r Pet[itione]r to attend at this Sessions.

That yo[u]r Pet[itione]r hath beene at great charge and expence in comeing such Journeys, his habitation being in the Citty of Westminster.

Hee therefore most humbly beseeches this Worship[fu]ll Bench, to be pleased to Order him something towards his charges.

And he shall ever pray &c.
