To ye Right worsh[i]p[full] his magest[ys] Justisis of ye pease & quor[u]m at ye generall quart[e]r sesions of ye peace holden att Preston for ye hundreds of Amoundernes & Blackborne w[i]thin ye county of Lanc[aste]r
The humble petic[i]on of George Turner of Goosnarg blacksmith in ye hundred of Amondernesse
Sheweth to yo[u]r good worsh[i]ps that yo[u]r petic[i]oner beinge very pore & not Able to Labour as formerly & not hauinge wheare w[i]thall to mantaine him selfe: now yo[u]r petic[i]oners desire is that he hauing formerly beene A listed souldger vnd[e]r ye comand of Coron[el] Tildsley in his Late magesties seruis that he yo[u]r petic[i]oner may haue som yearly mantenance According as yo[u]r good worsh[i]ps shall think fit he yo[u]r pore peti[tione]r not hauing had any Alowance heare to fore
The pr[e]mises considered
Yo[u]r petic[i]oner humbly prayeth ye ord[e]r of this court for such an Alowance [illegible] as may be thought conuenient he not hauing any thing of his own sauing A very few houshould goods & yo[u]r pet[itione]r as neuer ye les he is in duty bound shall day by day pray &c
