To the right Wo[rshipful]ll the Justices of the peace for the Countie of Stafford

The humble petic[i]on of George Phillips of Hixon.

humbly sheweth

That whereas it was informed the last Sessions to the Justices there, That yo[u]r petic[i]oner was noe listed soldier when he was maymed, by reason whereof he was dismissed from being a penc[i]oner being formerly allowed him, Now may it please yo[u]r wor[shi]ps soe it is That yo[u]r petic[i]oner was a listed soldier vnder Capt[ain] Watson at Vttoxeter a weeke before the time yo[u]r petic[i]oner receiued his mayme as may appeare by the testimonie of Hugh Sale & Humfrey Badderley whoe are readie to make affidavit for confirmac[i]on of the truth thereof.

Yo[u]r petic[i]oner therefore humblie prayeth that he may bee readmitted a penc[i]oner, being otherwise not able to subsist.

And he shall ever pray for you &c.
