The petition of George Osburne of Aldham, Essex, 1652

In all humbill manner sheweth that wheras your poore Petitioner George Osburne of Aldam in the Countie of Essex cordwinder, hath lately Petitioned for some Relife for himselfe & his poore fameley since he was sorely wounded at worster: & twentie shillinges beeing then granted him for the pressent: & a promise of some Relife for the Futer: your poore petitioner therfore humbely Crave: that you would take his poore destressed cause: in to your pius Consid[e]rat[i]o{n} that way may be made towardes the helpinge Forth of his subsistanes in such a way as you in your wisdomes shall thinke most meet and Requiset:

And your Petitioner Ever shall Ever pray.
