The petition of George Halle of Knutsford, Cheshire, 5 October 1675

To the Hon[oura]ble his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace att the Quarter Sessions held att Neither Knuttesford
October ye 5th 1675
The Humble petetion of George Halle of Nether Knotsford in this Covnty Palantine of Chester Butcher being now aged Foorescoore or thereabout and hath formerly venter his Life in the Lov [sic.] Covntrey wares for the kinge and since your Humble petetioner hath beene vpon his magistyes serves vnder the Comand of the right honerable Lord Dalemeaire at Winnington
And there was mamed and ever since not able to helpe himselfe and being now almost Blind desires this honerable Beench to allow this your poore petetioner soom quarterly releefe as a pentioner what ever may be thought fit by this Honerable Beentch and the time heeretofoore whilest your poore petetioner was able to woorke for him selfe hee was not nether hath been at all troblesome to any other place save onely this towneship of Nether Knotsfoord afooresaid and in so doing you[r] honerables poore petetioner is ever bownd to pray for this Honerable Beentch whilst hee is
