The humble Petic[i]on of Francis Amson of Congleton in ye s[ai]d County.

That yo[u]r Pet[itione]r serued his late Ma[jes]tye (of blessed memory) as a faythfull and loyall souldi[e]r all ye first warre und[e]r yr command of Leiften[an]t Col[one]l Greene in ye Reg[i]m[en]t of S[i]r Edward Fytton That yo[u]r Pet[itione]r receiued many wounds in ye warre wherby hee is disinabled from following any calling wherein hee might Earn a comfortable Liuelyhood That yo[u]r Pet[itione]r was neu[e]r in Armes against his pr[e]sent Ma[jes]tie
In Consid[e]ra[ti]on of ye Premises yo[u]r Pet[itione]r humbly prayes that hee may be admitted amongst ye numb[e]r of his Ma[jes]ties Penc[i]on[e]rs and yo[u]r Pet[itione]r as in duty bound shall Eu[e]r Pray
