The petition of Evie Robinson of Pickmere, Cheshire, Michaelmas 1650

To the right ho[noura]ble the deputy lieftenants and other the keepers of the peace their assistants assembled at Northwich for the holding of the Quarter sessions for this Countye.
The petic[i]on of euie Robinson of Pickmeyre within this Countye widowe.
Sheweth to yo[u]r hono[u]rs that yo[u]r petic[ioner’s] that late husband Ralph Robinson of Pickmeyre within this County labourer hauing since the first begning [sic.] of these warres beene a firme man for the p[ar]liament and ever actually in seruice for them going over to fight in Ireland leaving yo[u]r petic[ioner] great with child is there dec[ease]d and yo[u]r petic[ioner’s] husband hauing some goods and halfe an acre of land Thomas Gleaue & Daniel Yarwood of Tabley detayne & keepe backe yo[u]r petic[ioner’s] husbands goods & the deedes of the land from her soe that yo[u]r pet[itioner] not benig [sic.] able to contend in lawe with them is likely to loose the goods & land vnles yo[u]r hono[u]rs favo[u]rs bee shewed yo[u]r pet[itioner] thereni [sic.].
May it therefore please yo[u]r hono[u]rs to Order that the sayd Gleave & Yarwood may deliu[er] yo[u]r pet[itioner] the sayd goods & deeds &c els to shewe cause to yo[u]r hono[u]rs of their detaynig [sic.] of them. And yo[u]r pet[itioner] as in duty bound shall pray &c
