The petition of Evan ap Ellice of Llanddeiniolen, Carnarvonshire, 1655

To the Right Woorshippefull the Justices of the Peace of the Counteye of Carnarvone
The humble petic[i]on of one Evan ap Ellice of the parishe of Llanddeinolen, sheweth that he hath beene a souldier vnder the Comand of one Sir Williame Wauler in the service for the states of the comone wealth of England, in w[hi]ch service he hath receaved many woundes and withall hath lost the vuse [sic.] of his Limes, soe that hee is not able to Laboure to gett his liueinge therfore, he craueth humbly craueth youre woorshipps to commisserat his poore estate, by Ildeinge vnto him some pencion to releeue him, soe that hee may not be over troublesome vnto the countrey thus hopeing to find youre woorshipps to be favorable vnto him hee remaynes to pray for youre good healths and estates all the dayes of his life and rest
