The petition of Elizabeth Sekerson of Hough, Cheshire, Trinity 1653

To the Wor[shipfu]ll the Justices of Peace now assembled at the Quarter Sessions at Namptwich:
The humble petic[i]on and Information of Elizabeth Sekerson
<Shewing> that yo[u]r pet[itioner] beinge wife to Thomas Sekerson who is now a Souldier in the Army att London and yo[u]r pet[itioner] being now in the Parish of Wibunbury & Towneship of Hough [illegible] haueing no meanes to Subsist on but what shee gets w[i]th her hand Labour, And some small maintanance from her said husband, And being lately turnd forth of the howse wherein shee liued by one Law[rence]: Bresbie gent[leman] of the said Towneshipe And now shee being necessitated with her Children to lie in a ditch or in the open feilds for want of howseroome for her selfe and Children.
Shee humbly desires that y[o]u wil be pleased to take the pr[e]misses into yo[u]r Considerations and to graunt that shee may haue some convenient place for her selfe & Children in the said parish to liue in and Shee will bee Content to pay Rentt for the same And shee will dayly pray for y[o]u and yo[u]rs
