The petition of Elizabeth Rushten of Conwy, Carnarvonshire, 15 July 1653

The humble petition of Elizabeth Rushen widdow in Conway to the Right wor[shipfu]ll Mr Madren & the rest of the bench.

Humbly sheweth that the Husband of yo[u]r said petitioner, (being a souldier in this Garisen,) Haueing spent the most part of his life time in the stat [sic.] service) was killd by a Corporall in this Towne; And now yo[u]r petitioner (intending to goe to London to see what redresse she may haue & Haueing nothing to Carry her, & her two litle children thither vnlesse well disposed people giue her sum=what (as all this Towne knows well) Humbley requesteth that yo[u]r wor[sh]ips be pleased to Help & take some curse [sic.] whereby yo[u]r petitioner may haue some releefe towards her iourney & Cariage of her children being very weake & poore, haueing nothing to maintaine them but what good people geues them soe yo[u]r poore petitioner shall be obliged, Humbley to beseech the Almighty to bless and prosper yo[u]r wor[sh]ips in all happines & shall alwais be the prayer of
