The petition of Elizabeth Rowbotham, Derbyshire, 7 October 1647

To ye ho[noura]ble ye Comittee for ye County of Derby.

The humble petic[i]on of Elizabeth Rowbotham

<Sheweth> yo[u]r petic[i]oners husband was a souldier in Derby, wounded against Ashby, lay sicke two yeares & lame & dyed, about a yeare & a halfe since, there is much dew & in areare & shee had noe monyes since ye death of her husband & hath a poore Childe to mayntaine.

Shee therefore prayeth releife &c.

October 7th 1647.

It is Ordered by the Com[m]ittee at Derby that Mr Henry Buxton Treasurer pay to the petic[i]oner Twenty shillings when theise Two paym[en]ts of the Sould[ie]rs are past.
