The humble Pet[i]c[i]on of Elizabeth Jenkins of Farleton widow
Sheweth.
That yo[u]r Pet[i]c[io]ners late husband William Jenkinson had in his life time an a yearlie Allowance of fower pounds or thereab[ou]ts as an indigent & Maimed Souldier who for his Loyalty to his Ma[jes]ty & in his Ma[jes]ties service had beene a great sufferer & impoverishd, And ab[ou]t Michaelmas last yo[u]r Pet[i]c[io]ners said late husband dyed [illegible] very poore leavinge yo[u]r poore Pet[itio]ner aged above Threescore yeares who whilst she was of ability indeavoured to gett a Liueinge by Livelyhood by hard Labour & industry but now is soe old & infirme yt she is not able to worke or gett any thinge towards her Maintainance, haveinge also two small Children & nothinge wherew[i]th all to subsist, but out of ye Charity of well disposed Christians.
May itt therefore please yo[u]r good Wor[shi]pps to take into Considerac[i]on [illegible] and Comiserate ye Condi[ci]on of yo[u]r poore Pet[itio]ner & to give Order & allowe yo[u]r pet[itio]ner ye [illegible] [illegible] said yearly Allowance & that ye same may be Continued & paid to yo[u]r poore Pet[itio]ner (as ye same was paid to her late husband) yearly duringe her life or otherwise as to yo[u]r good Wor[shi]pps shall seeme meet And yo[u]r Pet[itio]ner shall ever pray &c
