The humble Petic[i]on of Elizabeth {?Bradley} of Horbury
Humbly sheweth
That your Peticon[e]rs husband is aged and fallne into a sad {?condition} by reason of his former Hurts in his ma[jes]t[y]s late service and is much troubled in {illegible} that he should be soe sleighted for his great losses and imprisonments that he suffered {in the} late rebellious warr never changeinge his principalls that we dare not venture him to {go abroad} but is forst to haue one to looke after him he out [?stock] vs and went to Wakefeild {illegible} likely haue beene losst when goeinge over a bridge, and I cannott follow any thing for {looking after} him and I am not able to doe it my charge is soe great and to lett it be knowne {illegible} trouble to me that my Condicion should be knowne to any but your wor[shi]ps I haue beene lame a {illegible} while my selfe and had my brest cutt of w[hi]ch hath disinable me much to doe that {illegible}formerly I had done for him or els I would not be so troublesome to your w{orships} {illegible} cannott indure to lett my Condicon be knowne to any but your selfes
My humble desire is that you would be pleased to {?grant} him some quarterly or monthly Pention for and towards his maintenance whilest he live from the head constable assement w[hi]ch I beleive it will not be longe in his Condicon
And your p{etitioner} will be bound to pray for your wor[shi]ps {illegible}
