The petition of Edward Williams of St George, Denbighshire, 14 July 1663

To the hon[oura]ble the Justices of the peace of the County of Denbigh.
The humblei shewing vnto peticon of Edward Williams of S[ain]t George in the sayd County yoma[n]
Shewing vnto yo[u]r hon[ou]rs that your peticoner hath very faithfully served his Ma[jes]tie of Blessed memory in the la{te} Warres vnder the Com[m]and of Capt{ain} Edward Williams by w[hi]ch service is h{e} {is} become very weake, indigent, and vnable to labour as formerly to earne his liveing,
In tender considerac[i]on of the pr[e]mises may it therefore please yo[u]r hon[ou]rs to admitt yo[u]r petic[i]oner to be a penc[i]oner to receave such fitting reliefe as to yo[u]r hon[ou]rs shall thinke fitt according to Acte of Parliam[en]t and yo[u]r peticoner shall every pray &c.
I doe attest this petic[i]on to be true.

<Ordered in open quarter Sessions that John of Wynn of Llanrwst be allowed the sum[m]e of ten shillings quarterly and Margaret Dod of Hoult five shillings quarter and the petitioner the sume of vi s. viii d. quarterly and that The Tre[asure]r of the maymed Souldiers pay the same to them accordingly & Kadwalader Wynne fower pounds y[ea]rely.>
