The humble petic[i]on of Edward & Robert Vawdrey Infants Sonnes of Samuell Vawdrey Late of Warrington, gent[leman]
Humblie Shew
That yo[u]r poore petic[i]oners beinge borne & haueinge lived in this Towne of Warrington since wee were borne about 12 months agoe our Parents th[e] one of them who hath beene a longe tyme a soldier in the service of this Com[m]on wealth went in the same Service beyond Seas, And th[e] other hath remover [sic.] her selfe out of the Cuntrie wee know not whither. Soe as wee are left vtterly destitute of habitac[i]on, foode or other liveleyhood saue what the good people of this Towne are pleased to allow vnto vs by beginge the [sic.] from doore to doore.
May it therefore please yo[u]r good wor[shi]pps to take our sad Condic[i]on into Considerac[i]on And give speedie Order for our reliefe in the pr[e]misses to pr[e]vent vs from vtter Ruyn, famine & perishinge &c
And yo[u]r poore petic[i]oners shall ever pray &c
