The humble petic[i]on of Edward Ricketts of Lurgasoole a maymed souldier
Sheweth
That yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner receiued an order from this wor[shipfu]ll bench this last yeare, by w[hi]ch yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner did receiue the benifitt of the statute p[ro]uided for maymed souldiers, by w[hi]ch yo[u]r petic[i]oner his wife and children [illegible] were preserued from perishinge for want of breade, in these late deare times for p[ro]uision, it is not vnknowen yt the same is like to continue, soe that yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner w[i]thout yo[u]r wor[shi]pps fauorable order for the enioyment of the formerly conferred mayntenance, is like to be brought to extreame want and his whole family, by reason yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner haue not any thinge left to helpe himselfe, and is vtterly vnable to labor

Doe therefore humblye pray yo[u]r wo[rshi]ps to order that yo[u]r petic[i]oner may haue his formerly allowance paid him from the Tre[asu]rer to releeue himselfe and his (w[i]thout yo[u]r clemency) much distressed family.
And yo[u]r pet[itione]r shall euer be bound to pray &c.
